      Hi Everyone,

I’m setting up the “Approval Setup” in NAV, and I’m struggling with the “Due Date Formula.”

I’d like the due date to within 5 or 6 hours from creation, but I can’t seem to understand the NAV error message I’m receiving. My searches have been fruitless as well.

“Your entry of ‘1t’ in not an acceptable value for ‘Due Date Formula’. The date formula should include a time unit. The date formula should include a time unit. Time units can be: D, WD, W, M, Q, or Y.C, meaning current time unit based on date, can be specified as a prefix to the time unit.Ā Ā

      Two questions:
      1. What in the world is Y.C?,Ā
      2. Is there a way to do what I’m hoping?

      Best,

      Adam

      Adam,

Due date is date formulae field please check the link for the acceptable values, C is current, and Y is year.Ā  The value can be Days, Weeks, Months….not hours

Thanks Suresh! Not ideal, but it matches with what I’m experiencing. Thank you!

The Y and C are two different things. Y is for year, so if set the date code at 1Y, it will push the date out one year.Ā  The C usually precedes one of the other codes and means “current”.Ā  So, CM would be current month which would be the last day of the current month.Ā  CY would be the last date of the current year.

I haven’t worked with time codes at all, but the following link has some good info which may help.

Awesome. Thanks Dave! You’re up in Seattle? I love it up there. I appreciate the explanation!
