Is there any built-in or add-on component for NAV that we can use to scan an item bar code then receive it into inventory?

Any suggestions for 3rd party apps would be welcome.

      Thanks

      Hello,

There are other add-ons out there. One I think it’s very easy to use is Tasklet Factory. The popular one is using ADCS and E-Ship.
Maybe get in touch with your Software Partner.

There are a lot of options for scanning Items in during the receiving process.  Utilize your partner’s experience with these products so you have a support resource.  You should also do you homework online, so you see what other offerings are available.  My preference is WMDM from Insight Works.

For our inventory, we had our partner create a table and page.  We scan the items into the table via the page.  Originally there was a process bound to a control that would move those items into the physical inventory journal.  However, when we upgraded from 2009 to 2015, we chose not to have that rewritten because it involved dimensions we no longer use.  This last year, we exported the list to Excel, then copied and pasted from Excel into the item journal.  Hopefully, this year I can get an xml port written that will move the list from the inventory table to the item journal.

We’re using Lanham’s RF, E-Receive and E-Ship, I’m personally very happy with their solution. Lanham Associates® | Supply Chain Excellence

I have to agree with Cristiam, Lahnam is widely used and supported and works well.

      Felipe,

If you’re referring to doing this during the receiving process, then take a look at the Lanham eReceive module.  If you have other Lanham software modules like the EShip group of modules, then it works similarly as to hardware requirements and is attractively priced.
