Debits and/or Credits – Finding your way from your COA to your reports efficiently and effectively
D365 finance is packed with incredibly powerful features that can transform the way accounting teams post transactions and generate reports. However, all too often the implementation stops once the basic needs have been met and a chart of accounts sufficient to migrate and transact is complete.
In this session you’ll hear from Howard Linn, a KPMG trained and ACA certified accountant, about how he works with new and existing D365 Finance customers to go beyond the basic debits and credits and drive value, with features such as advanced rules, organisational unit dimensions and posting layers to refine the detail posted to the GL, with the aim of simplifying, streamlining and automating posting and reporting.
Your 60 minutes will be well spent watching practical “how-to” demos of each feature, accompanied by actual scenarios from global customers that highlight the requirements that drove the need for change and place these powerful D365 features and solutions in real-world context. We’ll also talk about living with the chart of accounts after go-live, refining and maintaining accountings structures as business needs change and reducing redundancy in main accounts, to ensure the chart remains as current and relevant as your ever-green D365 application.
The session will round-up with a recap of all the features you can use to take your chart of accounts and D365 Finance experience to the next level, delivered for accountants, by an accountant!
