Dynamics Communities: A Place for Microsoft User Groups
In this Community Summit North America 2022 moment, John Siefert, CEO, Dynamics Communities, discusses the latest updates to the new Dynamics Communities website.
Highlights
00:08 – Dynamics Communities is reintroducing its User Group websites. Those who have been a part of various User Groups in the past know there has not been much innovation built into the individual websites.
00:37 – A big part of the lack of innovation is due to the pandemic. Dynamics Communities dropped down to just 12 employees, which made recreation initiatives more difficult to achieve.
01:29 – The new Dynamics Communities website is one single website, as opposed to various others, as it was in the past. The new website is a designated place for User Group communities to have forums, collaborate and share ideas.
02:03 – Many users are members of various User Groups across the Microsoft ecosystem, so it is logical to place all User Groups under a single, unified website. The days of buying multiple memberships for access to multiple User Groups are gone.
02:26 – Individual memberships for the new Dynamics Communities website are available for an annual fee of $249; organizations of 25 or fewer employees can purchase an annual membership for $499; enterprises of more than 25 employees can purchase an annual membership for $999. These prices reflect a 30% decrease compared to the previous Dynamics Communities User Group sites were priced at. Why? Because it is the right thing to do.
