Stop pointing Copilot Agents at SharePoint and wondering why they get it wrong

Session Overview: “Adding SharePoint as a knowledge source in a Copilot agent takes about two minutes. Getting the agent to return something useful takes considerably longer, and most people never figure out why the gap exists. The problem is almost never the agent. It is the content. Unstructured data, inconsistent metadata, buried documents, and sites that were never built with retrieval in mind will produce an agent that confidently returns the wrong thing.
This session gets into what actually makes SharePoint content work as a grounding source for Copilot agents. We cover how agents retrieve and reason over SharePoint content, what structural and metadata decisions make content findable and usable, and the most common content problems that cause agents to miss, hallucinate, or return results nobody acts on.”
Learning Objectives:
- Understand how Copilot agents retrieve and reason over SharePoint content so you know what to fix and why
- Apply the structural and metadata patterns that make SharePoint content reliable as a grounding source
- Identify the content problems most likely to cause your agent to return results that are wrong, incomplete, or misleading
