Preparing Your Organization for D365 FSCM: Lessons from Two Customer Implementations

Session Overview: Preparing an organization for a Dynamics 365 FSCM implementation involves much more than configuring the system. Successful projects invest early in building internal knowledge, aligning stakeholders, and preparing teams to adopt new processes long before go-live.
In this session, two organizations share how they prepared their people for D365 in different ways. Beverage Air, part of the Ali Group, a global leader in the foodservice equipment industry with companies operating worldwide, will discuss how they built foundational D365 knowledge across SMEs before and during implementation using a structured learning approach tied to real business processes. Reily Foods Company, a fifth-generation family-owned food and beverage manufacturer known for brands such as Luzianne Tea and Blue Plate Mayonnaise, will share their journey upgrading from Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 to D365 Finance and Operations and going live in January, highlighting the organizational preparation, requirements gathering, and change management strategies that helped their teams transition successfully.
Together, these customer stories illustrate how organizations can combine structured learning, adoption planning, and internal collaboration to strengthen decision-making, improve design quality, and accelerate user readiness.
The session will begin with a moderated discussion and presentation with the customers, followed by an extended Q&A where attendees can ask practical questions about training, organizational readiness, project preparation, and post–go-live lessons learned.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify practical strategies organizations can use to prepare their teams for a D365 implementation by building knowledge, aligning stakeholders, and planning for change early in the project.
