Highlights

01:15 — Peter begins by explaining that HandsFree is not a partner or an ISV — rather, the company focuses on helping customers determine how to best proceed with their current ERP solution. He notes that he talks to many Dynamics Business Central and Dynamics GP customers and stands by the premise, as it relates to ERP systems, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”

“If the software works for you, run it for as long as possible. But if you have to make some type of a change, then make sure that that thing is not described as an upgrade, and that you have the right foundation to move to that next ERP solution.”

02:50 — Currently, HandsFree is offering a Microsoft-funded GYDE365-Discover tool that quickly and efficiently gathers business requirements in a non-biased, non-specific software manner. More specifically, this tools allows users to get these requirements formalized, and compare how these requirements stack up against new ERP solutions that Microsoft has in the cloud, as well as non-Microsoft products. Ryan notes that collecting these requirements in a non-biased way is beneficial for end-users and companies.

06:30 — Pam and Peter explain that Partners are encouraged to participate, as it will help shape the insights they need to deliver to their customers.

07:07 — You can learn more about this tool by attending a Community Summit North America Roadshow event, where Peter is leading 10-minute sessions on the tool and its capabilities. He will also be at Community Summit North America 2024, in San Antonio, Texas, from October 13-17.

08:54 — In addition to organizing the current business requirements, the GYDE365-Discover tool also provides you with the resources, time, and money it will take to migrate to another ERP solution. Finally, it also provides a list of partners who can help implement the new solution.
