Excel & Business Central: Better Together
Session Overview: Business Central and Excel work together in simple yet powerful ways that can make your everyday tasks faster, easier, and far less frustrating. In this session, you’ll learn the beginner‑friendly tools that help you confidently work with data, whether you’re exporting lists, making quick updates, or building simple reports. We’ll walk through the core Excel integrations such as Export to Excel, Edit‑in‑Excel, and Excel report layouts, and show you how easy it is to take something as simple as a copy‑and‑paste from Excel and turn it into clean, validated data inside Business Central.
Learning Objectives:
1. Understand the core ways Excel integrates with Business Central, including Export to Excel, Edit in Excel, and simple copy and paste, in order to confidently perform everyday data tasks.
2. Learn how to safely make bulk data updates in Excel and publish them back to Business Central, including how to recognize and resolve basic validation errors.
3. Build practical and repeatable Excel‑based reports and mini dashboards using standard exports, Excel layouts, and beginner‑friendly analysis tools, with a preview of how Copilot in Excel can accelerate these tasks.
