Analysis Assist with Copilot
This release expands Business Central’s built-in AI through new, more advanced Copilot functions. The Analysis Assist feature allows users to ask business questions using natural language and instantly receive data-driven insights. You can now type prompts such as “show me vendors by location” or “show me top customers by revenue.” Then, Copilot will automatically generate the relevant tables or charts. You can also refine your results by asking Copilot to include or rearrange data from specific tables. This makes it easier than ever to uncover meaningful insights without complex queries.
Enhanced E-Documents Framework
Microsoft is also modernizing business operations with the addition of e-shipments and e-transfer shipments in the e-documents framework. This feature enables businesses to generate, send, and track electronic versions of delivery notes and shipment records directly within Business Central. By digitizing these traditionally paper-based processes, companies can reduce manual errors. Additionally, they can accelerate delivery verification, and stay compliant with evolving global regulations. The result is a more transparent and efficient supply chain with audit-ready records available at any time.
Summarize with Copilot
Another key update enhances Copilot’s ability to automatically generate role-based summaries for any record. This includes customer cards, accounts, and vendors. These summaries now load 50% faster and adapt dynamically to filters. This provides context-aware insights like outstanding balances, overdue payments, and recent activity. Additionally, users can also interact directly with the summaries. By clicking on a highlighted data point takes you straight to that field, while selecting “Show more” prompts Copilot to expand the details. You can even ask follow-up questions within the summary for instant answers or suggestions. This helps you navigate and understand your data with ease.
