In production order default set up, there is a function called quantity validation. When properly configured, it allows a user to start an operation as long as an output quantity was produced from a previous operation. If no quantity was produced out of operation 10, operation 20 would not be allowed, to be started. I’m not in front of my laptop or I would point you to the section. Look into Production Quantity Validation.

Hi Mark,

Hope all is well with the team. I have seen something like this before and I think that it is coming from a Financial Dimension that is missing on the project. Error shows Value missing for AST? Is AST the Project that your timesheet is related to?

Hi Kim,

I feel that the rational used by MS for the code not making changes in a previous month would be by design. When running any type of inventory models requiring an inventory close, settlement of transactions, recalculation to update inventory values, trying to reverse a transaction in an already closed and settled period would present some financial issues within the GL. Now, while I am not a financial Consultant, I would certainly ask one for better clarity regarding this type of issue. Especially in a multi-currency system.

Hi Mark,

In your Route Group, you may want to look at the settings to see if you have any “Feedback” settings enabled for RAF. See screenshot below. In this Database, SFC Routing group has the Feedback RAF Enabled. Let me know how you make out please, thanks!
