I’m trying to connect Power BI desktop to our on premise NAV 2017. I’ve followed Microsoft’s guide and done some searching, but am unable to get it connected.
In NAV, I’m copying the ODATA URL under Web Services directly into the ODATA URL feed on Power BI. I enter our company name as it appears in NAV and press “OK”.
It asks for my username and password. I ender it in as follows <domain><user account> and utilize the web services access key retrieved from NAV.
Once I select “Connect” it says, “We couldn’t authenticate with the credentials provided. Please try again.”
have you checked in the event viewer for both client and server if you’re getting some kerberos exception while doing these requests? If there’re missing delegation you could end up with anonymous authetication and you won’t be allowed to access.
regards, rik
