      Hi Everyone.

      Ā

I have asked to create a detailed documentation on the total assests we have within our Power BI Tenant. This should be based on individual Workspace and then eachĀ Workspaces—–>Ā  Ā Apps –>dashboard—->Reports—->Measures and Calculated Columns

      Ā

If I create this document in excel and tomorrow one of the developers changes any calculated column or measure How do I replicate that change here with this excel document

      Ā

Is there a way to automate this usingĀ Logic Apps or Power Automate. I know about paid Power BI documentation tools to document your model. However, my requyirement is not documenting the power BI model instead create a detailed document showing all the assests ( Apps, Dashboards Reports,) possessed by BI department in our company.

      Ā

The main area of my concern being how do we keep the changes done within Power BI model for eg, a new or exsiting measure or column added/modified by Power BI developer to reflect here. Manually managing this would be tedious and difficult.

      Ā

Could you guys share your experience How do I achieve this (may be via Logic Apps or Power Automate)

      Ā

You can get a list of Workspaces, Data Sets, Reports and Pages from the API.Ā
Not sure if you can get a list of dashboards this way though.Ā

Calculated columns and measures would require a different approach.Ā
You can export the file as a Power BI Template, then shred the Json.Ā
Dax Studio can also be used, but not sure if it can be automated.
