I am encountering the Windows installer error when trying to run the GP year-end update.Ā  The message implies either that GP is not there or is the wrong version.Ā  it is installed and very confident I am installing the correct update for my version.Ā  My current version is GP 2015 R2 ver. 14.00.1159 and the update file is “MicrosoftDynamicsGP14-KB4528415-ENU.msp”.Ā  I have not had this issue before.

Does anyone have an idea what is going on here?

      Thanks!

      Hey Brian,

?I recall coming against that error when I tried to install the update on our Test environment but only because I had downloaded the incorrect version (2016).
Once I had the correct version, it took a bit to go through the utilities.Ā  but we seem to be good to go now.
Our version for GP is 14.00.1230 (R2) and the patch is the same as the one you indicated (MicrosoftDynamicsGP14-KB4528415-ENU.msp).Ā  I have yet to install the update next week on the production environment.
      I’ll keep you posted.
      thx.

      My problem has been resolved.

The install file originally downloaded from Customer Source several weeks ago was corrupt. The new file was downloaded and successfully applied to the test system.
