I’m testing GP2013 and GP2018 with Windows 10.  I can email invoices from GP2018.  When I try from GP2013,  the Template Processes counts up in the task-bar then a yellow caution symbol shows.  I click on the symbol and I get the following window.  I have the GP Add in for MS Word installed.  Any idea what I’m missing?

The email functionality came a long way from GP2013 to GP2018. 

Do you have the email functionality setup in GP2013 correctly? 

Can you send along any errors from your Windows Event Viewer (I find this is the most handy error messaging when it comes to anything network or computer related with GP)?

Hi Jo,

I can email from Windows 7 workstations using GP2013.  There are no Event Viewer errors generated, just the yellow caution triangle in GP.

On the Windows 10 machine:

What is the ‘bit’ version of the Office products you’re using??

GP 2013 is pretty picky about the settings in conjunction with the bit version of Office.  

Can’t remember off the top of my head, but there were rules on the server type based on the ‘bit’ version and some other settings.
