Hello
We use Wennsoft as a plug in to track job cost.  Our supers in the field use Excel TimeTrack to enter and submit payroll.  For one user the Lookup buttons are no longer responding.  We have run the option to Realign Lookup Buttons, I have also uninstalled Wennsoft TimeTrack and reinstalled.  Still no good.  Anyone have any experience with this issue?

Hello Mary,

The problem you’re experiencing sounds like an ActiveX issue with Excel.  There are two things to check that might help.  

1.  File > Options and click on Trust Center at the bottom, then on Trust Center Settings.
   1. In your Trust Center Settings window, click on the ActiveX Settings button on the left side menu (it’s right in the middle of the list)
   2. Verify your settings and make sure it’s not set to Disable all controls without notification.  
      1. Having Safe mode marked is OK and should not hurt the buttons.
2. If your Trust Center settings are correct, it may be a problem with the ActiveX cached information in Excel.  
   1. Close out Excel and any other MS Office programs you may have open. 
   2. Go to your C: directory and in the search box type *.exd and hit Search.
   3. Delete any files you find with the .exd extension.
   4. Re-launch the Time Track Spreadsheet and try the buttons.

If neither of the above work let me know and I”d be more than happy to dig into your issue further.

Active Settings were OK.
There was 1 exd file.  I deleted it and reopened the TImeTrack spreadsheet, but same issue .
Don’t know if it makes a difference, but the same .exd file gets created .Should it be “left behind” once excel is closed?

This issue can be resolved by installing Windows 10 version 1803.
