I am trying to print W-2s/W-3 from GP 2015 R2. The YE update has been applied. I can see my Box 12 info (retirement) populating on the year end wage report, and also on the W-2’s, but it is not pulling in to box 12 on the W-3. Any ideas on how to fix this? Has anyone else encountered this? This is the first year doing W-2s for this company in GP so maybe something was missed in the setup?

Hi Laura,

I have not encountered that specific issue, but just wanted to point out that if you are using the Electronic Filing option, you will not need to print a W3. (In case that helps you save time.)

Thanks for your response. We figured out the problem. The code for Box 12 had been incorrectly entered as an “A” code, which is not a retirement code. We have entered the correct code and the retirement is now pulling into the W-2.
