I was wondering if anyone has found a way to deal with the issue of SOPs not voiding in the SOP tables. It would appear that using the standard void process on an SOP will void the records in the RM tables but completely ignores the SOP tables. The only thing I know to do right now is go into the SOP tables using SQL and change the void status.
Any solutions are welcome.

I have run into a very similar thing where occasionally I have to match the voided records between the SOP and RM tables, but the only solution I have found is an SQL script to compare the void status and update where necessary. Maybe we can ask for that to be incorporated into Dynamics GP.

Hi-
This was an issue we faced with our own use of GP, so we created something to address it and added it our our GP PowerPack suite. It’s called Auto-Apply Return to Copied Invoice. The nutshell is: you use the SOP Copy functionality to create a Return from the Invoice you want to Void. When you post the Return it automatically applies the “credit” from the Return to the original Invoice. This isn’t exactly a “void”, but it does take care of clearing both the SOP and RM aspects of the transaction.
