I have been told the only dumb question is the ONE not asked.

I am working in a new database we have.Ā  Ā For now, it is Cash Accounting.Ā  I entered my batch for the month of January.Ā  I should have had two invoices for one vendor open on the Trial Balance, the only ones to post to AP Trade.Ā  The others posted to cash/check directly through input.Ā Ā

My ageing prints for all vendors.Ā  The options for selecting Exclude ZERO AMOUNTS are grayed out.Ā  How do I get them?

?Make sure you select the Aged Trial Balance with options.Ā  Ā  The Aged trial balance has no filters and is really only good for selecting a specific vendor to print all details.

I have experienced some issues with the GP historical trial balance myself.Ā  Ā The aged trial balance is great for a snapshot, but I have found that if you run the historical you may not have an accurate trial balance.Ā  As historical trial balances are how you tie out month end, I was wondering if anyone had a work around for this issue?

There are two out of the box Jet Reports Express Reports (GP034 Profit and Loss Statement and GP057 Month End Trial Balance) that I love. They are prebuilt, free, easy to use, free, built for slicing, and , oh yeah, free. Even our outside accountants approve.

With the Historical Aged TB; there are options for doc date, or post by GL date.Ā  Depending on how your settings are in posting setup, your GL posted date may be forced by your doc date.Ā  It doesn’t seem as if that is turned on and can throw off your balances from subledger to GL.Ā  Ā Please ping me with any questions.Ā  I can jump in and take a quick look-see and we can go from there.Ā

Also; try running a backup; run checklinks; run reconcile.Ā  Let’s see if anything comes out to see if there is a bigger issue.
