Has anyone else had issues trying to update the payroll taxes?
I’m getting this error and it locks up the system.

#8, I think if you just right click and Launch GP as Administrator, it will work fine for you.

Terry of course had the answer!!

Worked great once I opened GP saying run as administrator and then logged in as sa.

Yes, I got the same thing yesterday when I tried to update the tax tables too.  I turned mine over to our tech guys and got a message that he was having the same thing and is researching it.  Sorry this wasn’t much help, but at least you know you aren’t the only one with them.  I hope all works out for both of us

Yes it’s pretty common and running GP in Admin mode should get you around it.. 
Also please check your DEX.ini settings after updating the Payroll tax tables.. as often times the date doesn’t get updated:
