I am trying to build a summary trial balance like the one below. However, I just want it for Balance Sheet accounts (right now, it is pulling income statement accounts as well). Any ideas on how to do this? Any help is appreciated!

@Steven Bennett
It looks to me like your account number is structured with the second set of digits in your account number as the “Main” segment.
Try inserting a range for the Main segment, using the numbers that relate to the Balance Sheet, as illustrated below:
On the Trial Balance Report Options window, after you’ve selected “Summary T/B”, enter a Range for the Segment ID called Main: in our case it is 10000 to 39999 (10000 = Assets, 20000 = Liabs, and 30000 = Equity accounts).
Then click the “Insert” button to enter that range as part of your report parameters. If that report does it for you, you can save the parameters with a title such as “Summary T/B – B/S” to indicate that it’s your Balance Sheet accounts, and in the future you can select that option to run reports without having to re-enter the account number parameters.
Good luck in your reporting! Maureen
