We are operating GP in a Terminal Server environment. Users are currently forced to login multiple times and in some cases with more than 1 password, i.e. 1 for the nertwork and the other GP.

Is there anything available that would give a single sign on process so that the user would only need to login at their desktop and use the same AD credentials for GP?

      Jeff,
Fastpath SSO is the product you will want to take a look at.

?if we choose to not use FASTPATH SSO, what is the best way to handle SSO thru ADFS?Ā

We areĀ upgrading and don’t have time implement FASTPATHH SSO, just want to best methodology.

Tony, because of the way that GP requires and uses mixed mode authentication in SQL there is no native way to do single sign on with ADFS across all client types in GP. Config AD is the only SSO option.

Users who use the web client can log in with windows credentials provided you set them up on the Directory tab of the User Setup window.Ā  Also, user setup allows you to apply SQL Server password policy to GP passwords and to force users to change their password on the next log in.

We also use and recommend Fastpath SSO.Ā  Given your impending upgrade, you might consider deployingĀ Fastpath SSO after your upgrade is done.

I also like the database validation tool in GP Power Tools, especially at upgrade time, for it’s ability to catch database and user setup issues before they become problems.
