I have done the year-end update, and the edit list from when you select and build a payment batch in payables has changed.Ā  The report is much longer now.Ā  Unfortunately, when I tried to edit the report, the body section of the report in Report Writer only shows Field 9, Field2, Field3, Field4 and Field5.Ā  So it is showing a listing of GL Distribution, “Applied to Check” and “documents included on the check” for each payment.Ā  Ā And, no way to modify.Ā  I have tried inserting various fields to show just Invoice, Date, Amount for each payment, with no luck…

I really only want the documents included on the check section of this.Ā  What fields must I add to the report (and remove the above) to get just what is on that report in Report Writer?

Or, is there a table that holds the payments once a batch has been built?Ā  I can pull the data we want, in the format we need in Access, if necessary.

      I hope this makes sense.

      Hi Pamela

This sounds like the report is printing from a temporary table.

There are techniques on report writer to work with reports based on temporary tables. There is usually a Sequence number which helps define what the generic fields 1-9 are being used for. You will want to add all the other fields from the temporary table to the report so you can see what is happening.

There is also a technique I demonstrated which allows manipulation of the temporary table just before the report is printed. This used to only be possible using Dexterity, but can now be achieved with the Developer Tools module of GP Power Tools.

      https://winthropdc.wordpress.com/2021/07/06/gppt-modifying-reports-based-on-temporary-tables/

I am pretty sure that with the tools available: Report Writer and GP Power Tools (including custom RW functions and changing the temporary table) we can achieve anything you need.

      Regards

      David
