I am hoping that someone can give me some assistance with an issue we are having. I applied the EOY Canadian Payroll update to our GP 2015 R2 system and everything seemed fine but now our Sales Transaction Entry form freezes when there is more than one person trying to use it (or sometimes just randomly). This only happens to the clients running Windows 8.1 – Windows 7 machines don’t have any issues. I’ve run SQL Profiler and don’t see any locks or blocks in SQL and the only way to resolve the stuck screen is to end it in Task Manager.

Hi Karen,
Have you tried to set the properties of the Apps in win 8.1 to use a compatibility mode ? my local GP client runs with Elevated Privileges (Admin mode) and don’t have any issues (I’m on Win10).. Try set the Compatibility mode to Win 7 to see if it helps.
