Any users exploring moving from GP to BC? If so, have you found in research and discovery the allocation process in GP in Sales Transaction entry under options allocate (that is automated) becomes a reservation process in BC that is a line by line process? Most of our orders are MANY lines so a line by line process would not be a viable solution. If you have any knowledge from discovery and have you found the reservation process in BC can work differently (automated) can you share what you have learned.

    Hi Jill,

You do NOT have to go one line at a time. The easiest way to reserve in bulk is to use the “Reservation Worksheet”. After you enter the sales order OR at a set time OR with slight development or scheduled jobs you could try and automate this.

But you open “Reservation Worksheet”, then “Get Demand” and all lines that can be reserved pop in – it also asks you at the same time if you want to “bulk allocate” immediately and you can just say yes to that.
