Has anyone found a solution to timestamp or sequentially number exported SafePay files?

The way that SafePay works is that the exported file simply gets overwritten if the process is ran again & the last exported file is still sitting there. This is getting us in trouble because we’re losing files before our automated process sends the files to our bank.

The way that say the EFT File works is that IF there’s a file that already exists (w/ same datestamp), it simply increases the numbered suffix & increases the value by 1.
      Ex.)
      EFT_01072020_1
      EFT_01072020_1

      Any suggestions?
      Thanks,
      Kyle

      Hey

      Out of the Box, No.

BUT, you can user Windows PowerShell and a schedule to MOVE the file that was just generated to a different location and append the filename so that the file does not get overwritten.?

Additionally, in GP in Routines (SafePay>Transactions History), you can always pull up a prior upload and reprint it to a file format.

      Good Morning Kyle,

I don’t believe there is a way to do it through the “normal” GP SafePay process-at least I’ve not had much success there.Ā  However,Ā  actually did a post on this topic a few years ago, and I’ve included the link below.Ā  I’ve used it with one client, and it worked quite well for them!

      Thanks,

      Samantha
