I have discovered that I will soon run out numbers for Receivables Cash Receipts because my template was set up with to few of numeric position. My current template is PYMNT#####. This means the highest number will be PYMNT99999.   

Is the fix for this as simple as inserting zeros in front of the numeric portion of the Next Number on Receivables Setup Options window?

For Example the Current Next Number is PYMNT98000 and after the change it will be PYMNT0098000.

Is there anything I should be aware of before doing this?
