I am in the midst of an ISO conversion. Under the new revision we have to report metrics. One of the requested metrics that has been given to me is to track the number of days between a purchase order request (requisition) to purchase order issuance. We are not currently using the requisition or workflow features because we are so small, but I’m thinking this may be the easiest way to capture this data automatically. Does anyone have any insights on this?

Beth,
If you do not want to add complexity to your business process, you can use the Requisition Date field already included in the Purchase Order Entry window, In the header of the PO, click on the Blue Arrow by the Date field. This will open a window where the various dates can be managed and one of these dates is a Requisition Date.
If you wish to use Requisitions, you would need to look at how your purchasing process is defined and redesign that process to meet requirements of the system.
Thanks,
