      Hello All
I did a couple searches but couldn’t seem to find the right thread so I am posting the question.  Does anyone have recommendations or maybe this is built in to the new version of GP but how can we change the purchase order attachment name when we email direct from GP?  I am not looking for a workaround to save the pdf and then email I would like the attachment to not be called POP Purchase order blank form.  We are currently on GP 2013 R2.  Thanks for any help and recommendations,

Rick, The name of the attachment is inherited from the name of the Word Template that GP uses during the process. If you want to change the name, copy from the original template with and give it your new name. Don’t forget to assign and then make the new template a default at the company level.

      Thanks,

      Thanks Rob,
We do not currently use the templates but the built in report writer report for POs, although you do provide a reason to start looking closer at the word templates.  Thanks for your post.

Hi Rick, my post is prob overkill for your request but our Liaison Messenger can easily allow you do that. You can create user-defined naming conventions using data from the PO, Vend card file etc to make unique file naming and even specific formats PDF, TIF, JPG on a global or vendor by vendor basis. There is no manual intervention or saving etc. You just print from GP to our print driver. You can also auto-include/embed T&C, spec sheets, and other file attachments along with password protecting any outbound vendor/customer facing document. It’ll uses your existing dexterity report writer templates, word templates, or crystal/SSRS as well.
      Best Regards,
      Jeff
