we are thinking about using it, we use a WIP BS account where we code everything but due to the amount of projects this account gets crowded!
we are hoping that by using project numbers we can actually sort through it in a more efficient way…
Just wan to know if its a pain to set up, does it really help, any help would be great!
Thanks

Daniela – we have been using Project Accounting for 6 years. It’s tricky to setup and use, but you do get to store a lot more information.
So there is extra benefit to have your WIP broken down into very granular detail, but also there are extra steps involved to get that additional information into GP.
When you say WIP, is this for Fixed Asset type transactions only (cost only), or for “true” projects where you are billing the customer based on project(s)?
Best regards,
Russ Worth
