When we generate a Nacha prenote file in GP 2016 R2, it is not adding the Debit Prenote line.Ā  Therefore, I have to manually add it, increase the number of lines by one and recalculate the checksum.Ā  Our non-prenote nacha files generate correctly.Ā  I have tried several things to get the Debit line to generate but no luck.

Has anyone else come across this issue?

      Hi Greg.

In my experience there are no debit and credit lines in a prenote file. Ā A prenote’s purpose is only to verify that the specified checking account exists at the destination bank. Ā There are no financial transactions associated with a prenote.

It’s true that when you set up prenotes you select the EFT map associated with the prenoted accounts. Ā However, only a limited number of fields from that map are used in the prenote process.
