I have an issue. I’m pretty sure it is of my own doing. Any assistance in resolving it would be greatly appreciated.
I have a P&L posting account that didn’t zero out at year end close and is causing a discrepancy in my 2016 year end RE balance and my 2017 RE beginning balance. In the course of my troubleshooting I have identified the culprit account as an account that was created in January 2017 in response to a tax audit (the source of all my problems). The account was created and adjustments were posted to it for December 2016. In looking at the account today, it is properly configured, but I am wondering if at the time of creation it was set up as a balance sheet account, entries were posted to it and THEN it was corrected to a P&L account.
Either way, how do I fix it????
Thank you!!!
