Payroll Set-up of Deductions

  Have always set-up new employee with benefits effective dates that might be several weeks out. However, when running payroll yesterday and employee with effective date of 6/1 for benefit deductions pulled into the pay run. Pay run with 5/16-5/29, date range. After a double check of the dates etc, can’t determine why the deductions are pulling in based on dates. Can anyone offer any assistance.

  If the deduction start date is after the last day of the pay range, it won’t be included.
