Hello,
I have some of our sales staff that want to take advantage of emailing SOP Orders directly out of GP.
When they click the email button they get the error “Not privileged to run this report”  They are set as default user and the role id is Sales.
Does anyone know if there is specific task id they have to have selected in order to do this?  I am able to, but I am a power user.

Hi Katie,
I presume that you have done all the setup that is required in order to e-mail SOP documents ?
What format are you trying to use ? Word, PDF, XPS, HTML ?
Check what document format are selected in the system setup :

Administration >> Setup >> Company >> E-mail Settings

Check also in your system preferences what type of mailing option is selected (Exchange or MAPI) :

Administration >> Setup >> System >> System Preferences

Yes I have checked all of these things.
If I put the user as a poweruser she can email the reports so I would think it would have to be something with security.
I have a list of what Task ID’s are assigned to her under her role and I have tried looking for an email specific task id but I can not find anything.

Do you have GP Power Tools installed? It will immediately identify the report in question and show you the tasks and roles it is linked to.

Katie,
Since e-mailing an SOP document involves also the printing of the original SOP report from GP, you may wanna check if you have a custom report that is called up, rather than the original one.. When I email a Sales Order (not Word, but HTML, but it should remain the same principle), it’s calling up the “SOP Blank Order Form”, but not the original version from GP, but a custom that has been modified to display company logo and so on.
Go under

Administration >> Setup >> System >> Alternate/Modified Forms and Reports
and check if there has been a special security ID created and if that user has been assigned to it.
