Quick question. I migrated MR to a new server and deployed a new data mart. I exported all of our building blocks and imported them into our new MR environment. The one thing brought to my attention by the users is that the folder structures did not export / import. Is there any method to perform this or is my only option to manually create this all again?Ā

      HI Jonathan,

Importing and Exporting does NOT bring over everything as you saw.Ā  It only brings the components, (ie. Report, Row, Column, and Tree definitions)Ā  it doesn’t bring over the structure (folders) in how they were organized.Ā

You mentioned that you migrated to a new server, it sounds like you installed a new MR database and data mart db on the new server and didn’t copy over the ManagementReporter DB that was on the original server, and then imported the building block groups from the old system.Ā  If that is the case you basically reimplemented Management Reporter. Ā  Which means you have also lost report groups, the MR library setup and all generated reports, security setup in both Designer and Viewer, and schedules.Ā  I would be happy to discuss if you would like to bounce ideas.
