I have a report with “weekly dates” in the column. The report failed with an error message “Date 7-3-17 is not valid for the selected company.” Basically this report wouldn’t accept any date after the 6 period.
I have checked GP fiscal periods and all is set up for 2017.
Other item strange is the base period drop down only goes to “8” (not 12) for 2017.
Any thoughts as to what the problem may be?

Note we are on MR version 2.12.14001.45
Wondering if there is a “fix” or something available for this error?

Are you using the DataMart or Legacy connector? If your using the DataMart then you probably need to rebuild it. My guess is that you setup some of those periods ‘after’ you originally built your DataMart.

Yes, we are using Data Mart. We rebuilt it last night and all is working well!
Thank you, Peggy

To clarify, does this mean the DM will have to be rebuilt when a new year is added to GP? For example: When our Datamart was built, the years through 2017 existed in GP. When I do the 2016 GL year end close I will build CY 2018. Will the DM have to be rebuilt for it to pull 2018 postings? We commonly have expense deferral transactions that amortize over a year that will post in the next couple of months.

Hi Margaret, Before rebuilding your Datamart (if you use it), check what is your selected ‘default’ GP company in MR 2012 .. Go under : Menu > Companies > look at which company has the check-mark on the left side.
MR pulls the fiscal periods from the ‘default’ company.. thus when you have multiple companies setup, this can play some fool games in your reports, especially if your companies are not all set with the same Fiscal Calendar Setup in GP..
