      Hi All,

We are in GP 2018 and attempting to use the vendor email remittance for EFT payments. We’ve got everything working as it should be but have an Outlook issue. For each email being sent we have to click “Allow” in the pop-up window copied below. Needless to say, we need to stop that from happening.

We have found several articles talking about how to turn the pop-up off. None of the solutions have worked for us because we have GP & Outlook installed on a terminal server (we log in remotely), and it appears Outlook is unable to validate our antivirus software because of that. We’re assuming this is why we can’t turn off the pop-up window.

Has anyone else had a similar set up and found a solution to this problem? We would LOVE to eliminate the manual remittance email process we currently have. But unless we can remove the pop-up window, we’re stuck as we are. Any ideas are much appreciated!

      Thank you!

A quick google search returned the below article – not sure if your local IT or partner can assist with a workaround.

      Hi Erin,
I just worked through this issue last week for a Customer.

Our issue was that the Customers GP Server was not on the same domain as the Exchange Server.so it would not allow email to pass through to exchange because it was not set to send mails to external receivers.
      .
      Use the DNS-Record: mail.customer-group.com and Port 25
      No authentication required.

To fix it we had to configure the GP server for SMTP email with the correct DNS-Record: mail.customername-group.com and Port 25
In GP you set the email preference under System Preferences to EXCHANGE.

Once that was done, the Exchange Log On box popped up in GP as expected and email worked like a charm.

      Good luck!
      Sue

We had this issue with sending email as well. I ended up buying a server software called Click Yes Pro. It needed to be installed on the admin credentials, then ran to gather the outlook data. Once done, it is left on, and then forget.

Thanks all for the great suggestions!! We were able to resolve the issue with our IT group. IT broke down for me what their resolution was – here you go in case someone else needs another solution. Thanks again!!

      ______

Here is the link that kind of pointed me in the right direction:

      https://www.slipstick.com/developer/change-programmatic-access-options/

If you are running it on your local machine, that should cover you.  If you are running on a terminal server, the following comes in handy as well.

The trick was getting it installed on each users profile, if running it on a terminal server, because those keys have to be entered while logged in as the user.  For that I created a powershell script, that I got the start from here:

      http://www.checkyourlogs.net/?p=24811

I just plugged in the Outlook settings and ran the script as administrator on each terminal server.  The only thing you might need also is knowing which version of Office you are running, that could change the location for the registry keys.  This article helped determine the location depending on your version:
