Is it possible to add a row in MR that does the following:

Picks up the amount in accounts 0-110-6010-000 to 0-110-6080-999 (easy part)
      Plus (0-500-6010-000 to 0-500-6080-999)*.25

I’m sure this is easy, but I can only figure out how to add the two accounts in full or add together and then do a calculation.Ā Ā

I can change the way the 500 accounts are entered if need be (make them fixed allocations), but would prefer not to do so because we are presenting at 100% in another report.

Adding a tag for because I know that he will know.Ā  I’m thinking I need to do the above on 2 separate hidden rows and then add the rows together?Ā  Am I on the right track?

      ,

You flatter me. I’ve been away from MR ever since I moved to my new job three years ago.

One thing I would ask: is there the same number of accounts between 0-500-6010-000 and 0-500-6080-999 as there are between 0-110-6010-000 and 0-110-6080-999? What you’re looking for is similar to a SUMPRODUCT in Excel, yes?

Someone who has a better grasp of this is or of MSX Group, for sure.

      Sincerely,???

Sparkly Steve – thank you – yes – similar to SUMPRODUCT (which I’m embarrassed to say that I had to look up).Ā  We changed the way that we are presenting one of our cost centers.Ā  Previously included all the 500 accounts in an admin cost center at 100%.Ā  We now allocate those 75% to one cost center and 25% to another for internal presentation purposes only (need to remain in admin for cost reporting purposes).Ā

I forgot that you no longer dealt with MR, but I knew you could point me in the right direction!

A quick way to do it would be to do the “CAL” of this (0-500-6010-000 to 0-500-6080-999)*.25 on one row, then add that row with a row that has the other accounts. You could do those rows as NP and then show the total

Thanks!Ā  I think that is what I was looking for.Ā  Our MR reports are very simple for the most part and I haven’t had to even use CAL before.Ā  I knew there was a way, but I couldn’t remember what it was!

      Thank you!

You bet! You could probably also do something like this with a cal, but what I suggested will be quick and simple
      Have a great day!
      (0-110-6010-000:0-110-6080-999) + ((0-500-6010-000:0-500-6080-999)*.25)

      Thanks .
      Hi .

      I’d lean towards three rows.

      ROW 1Ā  Ā (0-110-6010-000:0-110-6080-999) Non-printing
      ROW 2Ā  Ā (
      0-500-6010-000:0-500-6080-999) Non-printing
      ROW 3Ā  Ā CALĀ  Row1+(ROW2*0.25)
      ????

Thank you .Ā  I guess I was on the right track, but it’s always good to have the experts confirm that!Ā  And it’s somewhat amazing that I can’t remember the last time that I had to create or modify a report using a calculation beyond a TOT.Ā  ?

Ā  Thanks again!Ā  I was able to successfully alter the row to do the calculation I needed.Ā  Very simple with a little guidance.Ā  Much appreciated.

I went with two NP rows and then the calculated row.
