I have connected several FileMaker databases to GP-tables via ODBC (readonly) to provide additional data for scanned documents, i.e. customer invoices, customer payments, vendor invoices. I have had no issues doing so, until now. I want to scan RTV documents for when we send inventory back to the vendor source. I found a SmartList for the RTVs, but I would like to get updated info by ODBC lookup instead of running a smartlist to get the 2nd or 3rd fields data when populated.

I bet your description here is just the tip of the iceberg. I’ll offer this advice…

I’d look at eOne’s products/solutions for integrating and surfacing data from other applications. They are the maker of Smartlist Builder. Take a look at Extender and PopDock.
