GP Manufacturing MRP – plan sites together?
Folks,
I have a Manufactuing client in GP that would like to use MRP for planning their material purchases. The major roadblock we have is that they backflush much of the raw material and their Manufactuing process takes 1-2 months from start to finish. For accuracy in inventory, this inventory for these backflushed items are stored in two sites. Warehouse is the site that they purchase into and store the items. Once items are taken into WIP/Manufactuing they transfer to a WIP site. This is the site that the MO backflush from.
GP MRP would plan these sites independently, correct??
I know they could use the Workbench in MRP and the Total Site to plan each item one by one (ugh!)– but does anyone else have any ideas?? Like PO Generator has a setting to plan sites together; is there some secret setting for MRP I haven’t found? Some ISV that could work better? Other ideas?
