      Hi,

An upgrade is about to be performed from GP 2015 to GP 2016 and I have a question regarding Management Reporter Version 2.12.16000.17.

Do we need to upgrade, perform maintenance or do anything to ensure this version of MR will continue to work with GP 2016 ?

      Thank you in advance,

      ?Curtis

I believe that build of MR your are onĀ is CU16 and that will work just great with GP 2016, after the update of GP if you are using the Management Reporter DataMartI would go through the process of rebuilding the MR DataMart ok.Ā
The one thing I have ran into sometimes is if one of the tables MR uses gets update the change tracking option might not be reset back to allow change tracking, you will want to verify that or you will see and get errors during the MR DM rebuild process.
Let me know if you have any other questions, there are some scripts that will reset the change tracking once again that is id your are using the MR DataMart.
      Thanks
      Larry

      Larry is correct..Ā
MR 2012 is pretty much GP version agnostic.. but when using the DataMart you have to be careful to disable the integration before starting the upgrade, assuming you keep the same SQL server where everything is hosted.. While performing the upgrade, the system will disable the change-tracking on several GL tables in the company DB and some other tables on the DYNAMICS DB.Ā
As said, there are scripts out there to check the change-tracking status and disable/enable it.Ā  I do have them if you need to perform this manually. It might anyway be a good idea to scrap the DM before upgrading, and stop all the MR services, as you don’t want those interfering with your GP upgrade (again, assuming you stay on the same SQL server). If you upgrade on a different server, everything above is irrelevant as you’ll have to re-install the MR anyway on the server and migration your database, which implies other actions like resetting the data encryption key on the new server.
