      Hello, all,

      Has anyone yet installed or tried to install GP 18.5, the 2022 year end update?

      When I run the executable (MicrosoftDynamicsGP18-KB4602593-ENU.msp), it runs for a bit, then shuts down.Ā  When I look in the C:Program Files (x86)Microsoft DynamicsGP2018 folder, there are no chunk files.

      I’ve tried this on my test server and test workstation.

      Anyone have any insights or experience?

      Have you looked at the version numbers of your system. It will probably have already completed the update for all versions of GP on your machine that it can find in the registry. The chunk files have probably already been incorporated.

      I have installed it many times already. It does just disappear off of the screen when it is done. Are you certain it did not install? Try Running GP Utilities and see what version it shows. Should be 18.5.1596

      I had this happen to me so I did this..

      1. Install MicrosoftDynamicsGP18-KB4602589_18_5_1556-ENU
      2. Follow up with MicrosoftDynamicsGP18-KB4602593-ENU

      Worked for me.Ā  Good luck.

      provided the answer I needed.

      I was going off Terry Heley’s blog post which said that the 1596 KB included the 1556 one:

      Ā Ā Ā Ā  Microsoft Dynamics GP (version18.5.1596) (Includes October release 18.5.1556)
      Ā  Ā Ā 
      MicrosoftDynamicsGP18-KB4602593-ENU.msp

      Once I downloaded and installed the October release, everything went as expected.

      We had this issue installing with the msp where we have the HR/PR modules installed that rolled back over to Integrity Data.
      This blog talks about how the Integrity modules are removed from the DVD as of March 2022.
      Microsoft Dynamics GP Human Resource and Payroll Suite Announcement – Microsoft Dynamics GP Community?
      We do our installs a bit differently so this might not apply to you – but I thought I would throw it out there just in case.
      You might want to try installing from the DVD instead of using the msp.
