Good morning!

I am looking for another organization that is using Google mail and GP. Our IT department is concerned because we need to use “app password” rather than the desired 2 factor authentication. From my research, it seems “app password” is needed to send documents out of GP, thus 2 factor is not an option for our department.  Is that correct or can anyone tell me how to make 2 factor work with GP?

Dynamics GP can’t handle two factors authentification using Gmail or Exchange, so yes you have to use App Passwords. ?

Do you use this to send out AP remittances and other email attachments?  We also use gmail, but we have Outlook set up for our AP group just for sending out remittances.  It’d be nice if we could simplify our set up and use gmail to send those out.

Also with Gmail and I didn’t find a way that doesn’t involve Outlook or something similar, looks like direct email is possible only through Exchange mail server  ?
