I have a situation where in some cases the distributions on a return goes out of balance.

When I go into the distribution I can see that the credits vs debits don’t match.

I then select the default and it clears and resets the distributions and they are in balance.

I then save the distribution form and at the SQL level the distributions still are correct and in balance.

When I save the Return itself and then look at the distributions they have now gone out of balance.

Usually when I see the distributions out of balance I have an inventory and Return line with the same value (usually as a debit).

When I clear and reset the distribution the Inventory account drops off and it is then in balance

      Any ideas

      Hi ,

Check the EXTDCOST and OREXTCST in the SOP10100 and SOP10200 tables. Are the values the same between the two tables? If not, this could be your issue.?

The EXTDCOST and OREXTCST are the same inĀ  both the tables you mentioned. This particular document has just one line item and the difference between the debits and credits in the distributions when they don’t match is the EXTDCOST value.
