      ?Good Morning,
We currently set up the GL Batch approval workflow and were trying to see if others are using this workflow within GP. I am not sure if there are some best practices and suggestions on the best way to handle this workflow. I was trying to see if others are using it and in what capacity. Also trying toĀ find out what reports we can run to view the journal entries we have approved with attachments in GP once they are posted? Any help would be appreciated.
      Thanks,
      Tiffany

      Hi Tiffany,

I am part of a GP VAR organization.Ā  We have several GP customers who use GL batch approval workflow.Ā  There is some basic workflow approval history stored in GP tables.Ā  I have created Smartlists in the past to display this information. I have not tried to view attachments using this method.

Feel free to reach out if you need additional information.

      Thanks,
      Louie

Reporting on the new Workflow 2.0 functionality in Dynamics GP is limited, with only a new report being made available in Dynamics GP 2018 R2:

      https://community.dynamics.com/gp/b/dynamicsgp/archive/2018/01/30/reporting-for-workflow-i-need-that

Otherwise, I’d recommend the following blog as well:
      https://community.dynamics.com/gp/b/dynamicsgp/archive/2015/08/04/workflow-2-0-tables-what-each-one-does-and-what-information-you-can-get-from-them-for-reporting-purposes

The attachment information is held in the CO00102, CO00103, CO00104 and CO00105 tables in the company databases, as well, so that is where you’d want to look for that type of information. My thinking is that you could connect the CO00102 or CO00104 tables /Ā  BusObjKey column with the attachment information to the WFI10002 / WfBusObjKey table information, but I haven’t tried it myself yet.

      Thanks
