Reports not printing the GL Accounts correctly (see attached examples). Going back on my detailed printouts, this seemed to start happening between Sept 29th and Oct 14th. 2021, (not 100% sure when).

Somewhere in the community it was mentioned that MS thought it might be a Driver issue for the Printer. We updated all the drivers on the server and my computer.

But we are still having the issue.

The actual POSTING documents print correctly, while the background reports seem to scramble (perhaps over-printing in a field) the Account Inf.

Attached are a few examples of what we are getting.

      Thank You,

      Hi Clay

The only issue I recall was from earlier this year, wherein a specific windows patch did a number on Mekorma Check Printing and GP canned reports with embedded images. This was in March of this year.
Microsoft had resolved the windows patch back in a subsequent windows patch, then and this is no longer an issue.
      Forum Discussion from March 2021

You may want to review when the client workstations were patched.

      Good luck

      Ven

      Hi Clay,

I looked around online and found this post on the Microsoft community forums.Ā  There are a number of great suggestions there.Ā  I would probably start by recreating your reports.dic and forms.dic files, then try some of the other suggestions in the forum thread if the problem is still not resolved.

      Hope this helps!

      Hi Sarah and Ven:

Thanks for the help, We had some modified users, and the modified Report.Dic somehow effects these printout. For the users that need to have access to GL account reports, We have gone back to the unmodified Report.DIC and the issue is gone for certain users.

Hopefully we can resolve what happened to the modified Report.Dic., but atleast we have a work around for the time being.

      Thanks again

I am also having this gl account issue on some of my reports.Ā  what do you mean exactly when you say “Ā I would probably start by recreating yourĀ reports.dicĀ andĀ forms.dicĀ files”?

The Forms.dic & Reports.dic highlighted in the previous reply link to Microsoft Articles on how to Recreate those files.

Just remember to make a copy of the .DIC files before you begin.

      • Reports.dic Dictionary file hold the Standard and Custom Reports
      • Forms.dic is for Standard and Modified GP Screens.

First question is, do you have one central copy of the GP Client on a Terminal Server, or multiple individual installs?
      — If you have multiple GP Clients, does the report issue happen on all GP installs?Ā
      — If running the report looks ok(no GL issues)Ā  on one install, you or your IT people can make a copy of that Reports.dic and replace the problem Reports.dic.

If the problem occurs on all GP Clients, you use one shared network copy of the .Dic files, or you have not backup copies, try the link below to recreate it. (You will make a backup copy now, right???)

Links to recreating your reports.dicĀ andĀ forms.dic files

What GP version are you on? Did you recently upgrade GP?

      Luck!
