We recently installed Rockton Auditor and I’m working on setting up the audits. I’m auditing GL account additions and noticed the audit is providing the account index instead of what we see as the account number. For example, our account number looks like this:  010-8300-4506-0000 but the account index is 13981. Does anyone know of a report or Smartlist that lists the account number and index?

Have access to SQL?  You could quickly get this info from the GL00105 table.

It may exist but I’m not sure that the account index is available within any report inside GP. You could use SmartList Builder and/or SmartList Designer to deploy a new SmartList report (you’d probably want the GL00100 table as well).

You can add the account index to almost any of the financial smartlists by just adding a column.  I am on accounts and just added the account index.

you can leverage the built-in SQL views that Microsoft provides out-of-the-box for the Excel & SSRS reports..
There is one called ‘Accounts’ in each company DB.

So here it goes :

SELECT
[Account Number]
,[Account Description]
,[Posting Type]
,[Account Category Number]
,[Account Alias]
,[Account Index]
,[Account Type]
,[Active]
FROM [TWO].[dbo].[Accounts]?
