??I entered an AP Invoice using FA Clearing under PURCH.  After posting, I went to Fixed Asset Cards >> General.  When I click on Purchase button on upper left, I can see the Voucher I entered in AP Invoice, but the Select button is disabled.  So, I just click on the Purchases drop down list and select my VendorID and purchase amount. I hit Save. Click on Book and hit save… closed the window.

When I reopen the Fixed Asset Cards >> General window, the Purchase amount is still there. It is supposed to disappear because I already saved it as an Asset.

Is there any settings I need to check?

      Thanks!

      ?Hi

In Financial>Setup>Fixed Assets>Company do you have the below box checked?  If not, this is the setting that will delete those purchases from that area once they have been entered as assets.

      ?

Nothing more valuable to add rather than what’s illustrated above, this is controlled by the “Delete Purchasing Transactions” option on the fixed assets setup window.

      Furthermore, I would like to provide further assistance link for the Fixed Assets Purchasing which might have broader insight on the topic;

1- Adding Fixed Asset from Purchase Order Processing (Multiple Assets per Shipment)
2- Adding Fixed Asset from Payable Management

Please never hesitate to share any further inquiries or concerns,
      Best Regards,

      ?Hi Jo deRuiter,

I checked our FA company setting and “Delete Purchasing Transactions Immediately” is marked.  What else could it be?

      Thank you!

      ?Hi

That is strange.  I don’t think that it is unusual for this not to work as Microsoft wrote a utility to clear those out manually if they don’t clear out on their own.?

If you go to Financial>Utilities>Fixed Assets>Purge Purchasing Transactions.

If you run this it is going remove any purchases that have already been added to the General Card.

I have not run into issues where it does not remove itself, but I know the above utility works.

We can see if someone else has any idea of what happened.
