Currently when I run this report all of my fixed assets are sorted by Asset ID. The “Sort By” pull down menu on the report is grayed out and I am unable to select a different sort method. I would like to sort my fixed assets by Location ID. Is there anyway to do this? Or is there another option to view fixed asset depreciation projections by Location ID?
When you chose the Location ID under the “Ranges:” dropdown sort box does it give you what you need information wise/
I realize it is not the Sort By option but that is standard setup.
Please let us know if that works.

What I would like ideally is to see the projected depreciation separated by each location on this report. Is this possible? I have many locations and I don’t want to run this report multiple times.
Near the bottom of the post it describes how to add Class ID sort. I used this same info to add Location sort and it worked. I did not add location to the report, though you could easily do that in Report Writer.
Here is the Report Writer screen for adding Location to the Sort sequence:
I am sure you could further refine this by adding Location ID to the report, even adding a subtotal by location if you wanted. But this at least gets the data sorted as you want it.
