      Hello
We are currently running GP2015 with Wennsoft/Key2Act job cost as a bolt on.Ā  We are looking for a new way to track our bids (currently being doen outside of the system). We are thinking of looking into Dynamics CRM.Ā
Anyone have any info /experience they can share?

      Thank you

?CRM is what it stands for: a Customer Relationship Management tool.Ā  If you want a new system (which can integrate with Dynamics GP) to do all that, CRM could be a good tool.Ā  You can set up a trial in a sandbox (for free)Ā and poke around it a bit to see if you like it.Ā  We use it here and it’s like most other Microsoft products: we only use about 20% of the features because we don’t need everything.

Another option to consider since all you are looking for is effectively bid tracking is to get a third party add-on for GP like SalesPad (which we also use)Ā or Centerprism and use the Quote functionality.Ā  It’s pretty easy then to see quotes, orders, invoices, etc. and track progress – and those tools aren’t nearly as expensive as a full CRM.Ā  Demo the tools and see which of them is going to meet your needs.Ā  Do a comparison on functionality vs price and you’ll have the info you need to make the decision which works for your company’s needs.Ā  Don’t rush the decision, though and plan on an implementation time of at least several months to get it installed, kinks worked out, and users trained.

      Hi Mary,
How have you been progressing with your research?Ā  We have a Key2Act/GP client who is also trying to make a CRM decision.Ā  I’d be interested in your thoughts.
