      Hi,

We have a strange situation that we have only one shipment for a PO and there are 3 GL entries posted for the same. 2 GL entries from the same user back to back, and another one on different date.
For the 3rd entry, I’m guessing the entry probably not been cleared on GL work table after posting. so 3rd time someone else has posted it.

Had anyone come cross this situation. Can you please shed some light on what could have caused this issue.

      Would appreciate any help!

Update: Looks all 3 GLs were originated from Purchasing module. But only the 3rd one was successful on Purchase module. Not sure how first 2 GLs were created when Sub Ledger entry was still not posted.

      Thanks,
      Jothikrishnan

      Hi,

Having the same situation again now. Anyone faced the same and found the root cause?

      Thanks,

      Hi ?

Do you guys have any third party products that are used with receiving?Ā  Any customizations?

Do the receiving transactions come in from an integration with another program?

Let me know on these and we’ll go from there.

      Hi Jo,

      Thank you for your response!

Yes, the receipts are from ReQlogic and we use Project Accounting as well. Also, we have Salespad but we dont receive through it.Ā Ā

      Regards,
      Jothikrishnan

      Hi ?

If that is the case, please describe the method that you use for receiving -this issue won’t be Project Accounting generally.Ā Ā

If you are receiving for Project Accounting (out of the box with GP) you will be going into a Receivings Transaction, selecting the Project and Cost Category and just receiving in a regular GP window that looks like this:

If you are doing this any other way, please describe that to me.

      Hi Jo,

All Requisition, PO and Receiving the shipment takes place in ReQlogic itself. When PO and Receipts created in ReQlogic, it creates the entries in GP. No changes being made to the batch by users but just postingĀ  in GP. Only invoicing is done completely in GP. ReQlogic uses custom business logic to integrate with GP.Ā

      Regards,
      Jothikrishnan

You need to replicate the problem and do both a dexsql.log and a script log and send these logs to QLogic so they can resolve the problem.

The problem is not with Salespad, their application is a pure .Net application that runs outside of GP.

No matter which support organization you contact with a software problem, you may occasionally stump the technician on the other end of the line. In these situations, you may be asked to provide a “script log” to help troubleshoot the problem.

      Hi Bruce,

Thank you! Will contact them. I wasn’t sure to contact them as the problem is with the GL posting, but will give it a try.

      Regards,
      Jothikrishnan
